アマンダ先生からメッセージが届きました

To everyone:

Thank you for all your messages. I read every single one of them and am immensely thankful and grateful. I’ll treasure all these messages.

This was such an unexpected surprise; I was unbelievable touched and so moved I burst right into tears just as I received the cards from boss and my mask got so soaked hahaha.

It was my greatest pleasure being your teacher. I was glad to have met everyone. In fact, everyone being such lovely students made coming to work enjoyable for me. I was always looking forward to coming to class and asking how everyone was. Thank you for all the conversations, through them I was able to learn so much more about Japan and about everything in general.

Everyone, please take good care of yourselves. Deep down, I actually wish this pandemic never happened so I could still stay and be everyone’s teacher for just a while longer.

I’d like to believe that this is not a goodbye but a see you again :-)

Everyone, please keep healthy, stay safe and I hope that we will meet again someday.

I will miss everyone. I cherish the time we had together and I will remember every single one of you.

皆さん、

メッセージをありがとうございました。皆さんからのメッセージを一つ一つ読ませて頂きました。本当に深く感謝しています。すべてのメッセージは私の宝物として大切にします。

これは本当に予想もしていなかったサプライズでした。ボスから寄せ書きの色紙を受け取ったとき、信じられないくらい感動し心が震えました。そして涙があふれてきました。付けていたマスクがグショグショになりました（ハハハ…）

皆さんの先生になれたことは大きな喜びでした。皆さんに会えたことを嬉しく思います。事実、素敵な皆さんのお陰で教えることがとても楽しかったです。

私はいつもクラスに出て皆さんと話すことが楽しみでした。クラスでの会話に感謝しています。会話を通して私は多くの日本のこと、世間一般のことを学ぶことが出来ました。

皆さん、お体には十分に気をつけて下さい。私はもしこのパンデミックがなければ、もう少し長くテマセックにいて、皆さんの先生でいられたと心の底から思っています。

私は、これは決して皆さんとの“さよなら”ではなく、またお会いすることだと信じています。皆さんとの別れが寂しいです。皆さんと一緒に過ごした時間が愛おしいです。皆さん一人一人のことを決して忘れません。
